This collaborative performance explores the theme of crossroads drawing commonalities between Indian and Malay mythologies. Gandhari’s blindfolded sacrifice and Hang Tuah’s obedience to authority reveal the consequences of blind loyalty, while Mahsuri’s wrongful execution and Kannagi’s fiery retribution embody innocence, suffering, and divine power. Their stories are brought to life through Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Dikir Barat music with each tradition presenting a standalone piece before converging in a finale that symbolises the enduring human search that unites them in shared struggles, fateful choices, and consequences that echo through time.
